POWWOW is an innovative series of ten releases bringing outstanding original music to light. It has been created to produce and promote quality independent music that would otherwise not be heard widely. POWWOW will give quality left-field music a focus and an outlet, and it will build a unique musical identity from its diverse range of bands and artists. POWWOW will also give talented musicians a platform for their work and, as it evolves, POWWOW will become a strong, creative statement; a unit much greater than the sum of its parts.

Each POWWOW release in the series will be a cohesive, single artist album of around 30-35 minutes in length. POWWOW releases will also be simultaneously available through iTunes and other download services too.

POWWOW is the brainchild of Feral Media, an independent, artist-run Sydney record label that has been producing, manufacturing, promoting, representing and selling quality independent Australian music locally and throughout the world since 2003.

POWWOW is more than a series of releases under the one banner - it is also a collaborative artist project; a collective where bands and recording artists from around Australia have the chance to make world-class music and get it out to a broad ranging and hungry audience. The POWWOW artists collaborate with each other, perform together, cross-promote and help build the identity of the collective.

Another unique aspect of POWWOW is that it is available by subscription.
