The Emergency's debut album is nothing short of brilliant. From the records opening track 'Disaster zone' to the single 'We got the Horror' The Emergency delve into their own form of death synth punk which is robotic in nature yet layered with danceable synth beats. The Emergency are reminiscent of an upbeat Suicide or Cabaret Voltaire thus to label The Emergency as electroclash or merely another electro band in a sea of thousands is preposterous for their first LP 'The Spectrum Deadly' is a sign that this band are leaps and bounds ahead of their coke snorting, vintage synth collecting, fashion driven rivals in Australia.
