Feral Green Policy

Danny and Caroline are members of The Wilderness Society (TWS), and make monthly donations to TWS, The Bush Heritage Fund and UNICEF.
We support organic farming practices and any other environmentally aware businesses that we can.
Packaging
We currently use Digipaks for our releases, rather than the full plastic jewel cases. We are also investigating environmentally friendly packaging options for future releases - minimising the use of plastics and endeavouring to find recycled options where possible. We are also using Ecocern recycled CD sleeves for most of our promo CD runs.
In the Studio and Office
Our office and studios are powered using "green power" (from renewable sources). We make every effort to minimise waste. With equipment including our Roland Space Echo and Chorus Echos, Genelec monitors, vintage Guild and Rickenbacker guitars we are certainly trying to avoid products with built-in obsolescence. Old magnetic tape media is reused by students at the Union Broadcasting Service at The University of Sydney. The Feral Media studio features non-toxic paints, recycled wood shelving and flooring and lots of second hand books about music and its production!
Promotion and Publicity
Feral Media uses grass roots and community-based media organisations to promote releases wherever possible. This includes AMRAP (The Australian Music Radio Airplay Project), 3RRR (Melbourne), 3PBS (Melbourne), Mess and Noise, Opulent Magazine, FBI 94.5 (Sydney) and Cyclic Defrost Magazine.
